Calling all Dragons

azamra breathwork dragons force jedi sci-fi star wars May 04, 2025

Last night at bedtime, my son Deeds (three years old, mischief maker and part-time prophet) hit me with a line:

“So dragons make fire, yeah?”
“Yeah.”
He nodded solemnly, sighed, and said,
Then dragons should never do breathwork.”

I held back a laugh and agreed.
Fire + deep exhale = not ideal for indoor play.

But then I remembered: Today is May the 4th.

Also known (at least in certain corners of the galaxy) as Star Wars Day, thanks to "May the Fourth" being a play on the iconic blessing used in the movies;
“May the Force (be with you.)

If Star Wars has never been your thing, here’s the quick download:

The Force is a sacred energy field that connects all living things.
It surrounds us, flows through us, and responds to those who learn how to listen.

And who are the ones who listen?
They are the Jedi. Mystical warrior-healers.
They meditate, train, wield glowing swords, fight for good, tune into the Force, and trust it as their guide.

Star Wars is essentially a form of intergalactic breathwork.

#JustSaying

I might be a sci-fi nerd, but also, the Force isn't just a fantasy.
It’s a story-shaped version of something I trust is very real.

专讜讞
Ruach.
Breath. Spirit. Wind. Vibration.

"讜专讜讞 讗诇拽讬诐 诪专讞驻转 注诇 驻谞讬 讛诪讬诐"
"And the Spirit of Hashem hovered over the surface of the waters."
(Bereishit 1:2)

Ruach is the breath of creation.
The pulse of prophecy.
The first motion in the universe.
And still, the one that moves through us now.

We may no longer have prophecy.
Except, maybe, the kind that slips out of the mouths of babes.
诪驻讬 注讜诇诇讬诐 讜讬谞拽讬诐 讬住讚转 注讝

Bringing me back to Deeds.
Whose real name is 讬讚讬讚讬讛.
Beloved of Hashem
Jedidiah.

Same root as “Jedi.
(Star Wars nerd that I am ...I DID NOT PLAN THIS. But it is a cool show of the Force moving as It will.)

Because we're raising a generation of spiritual warriors.
Tender-hearted dragons.
Sacred mischief-makers with fire in their lungs and love in their being.

And just like the Force, dragons are totally a thing.

In the beginning of time, the Torah tells us Hashem created the 转谞讬谞讬诐 讛讙讚讜诇讬诐, the great sea serpents.
Some say these were dragons of the deep.
Rashi brings a Midrash that says they were too powerful to let roam free.

So one was hidden away… for the end of days.

Dragons aren't gone.
They're not the enemy.
They're not a mistake.

They're ancient. Sacred. Waiting.

Waiting for those who know how to breathe fire without burning the world down.

So when Deeds said dragons shouldn’t do breathwork?
I might be changing my mind.

Because probably…
they're the ones who need it most.

And I may just have come to the conclusion:
Azamra is breathwork for dragons.

Because dragons may not need to be less fiery.
Maybe they just need to learn how to wield that flame.
To remember that breath doesn't always put out the fire.
It often carries it.

Breathwork isn't only about regulation,
It's about becoming whole.
About making our hearts strong enough to carry the heat.
Soft enough to stay open.
Resilient enough to breathe through whatever life brings.

If you're still reading, you might just have some 转谞讬谉 in you.

Big energy. Big vision. Big emotions.
You walk into a room and shift the air.
You feel the world more deeply than most.
You carry fire in your belly and compassion in your bones.

But who teaches you how to tend that flame?

That’s what we do in Azamra.

This isn't a one-size-fits-all nervous system reset.
This is Torah sourced mastery-level breathwork as a way of life.
It’s for leaders. For those who carry too much love to keep it inside.
It’s about learning to ride your own fire without fear.

And it’s fun.
We learn to use tuning forks.
(Which is when everyone starts saying: “May the Forks be with you.”
It's corny and also hilarious.)

We laugh more than we should.
We send rambling voice notes from carpool lines.
We hold each other through big breath, big life, big growth.
Because being a dragon does not mean you have to go it alone.

And we remember that with the coming of Mashiach,
It's time the hidden things come roaring back to life.

Azamra begins two weeks from today.
And this call is for the dragons.
The ones who are finally ready to breathe.

With the Force and Fire,
Fally
