Curiosity Calls

There's something you should know about Azamra.
It’s not what makes us different.
It’s who we are, and how we bring it all to the table.
Azamra is a cohort built around the sacred art of play.
We’re not here because we have it all figured out, who can do it in our dreams.
We’re here because we’re the ones who stayed awake to wonder.
The Hebrew word for child, נַעַר, comes from the root ער, to awaken.
Because there’s something about a child, something about the way they’re so awake to life.
Curious. Tender. Unafraid to ask Why? What if? How come?
And that’s where the deepest learning begins.
At Azamra, we believe real growth is not about becoming older.
It is about becoming young again. Remembering ourselves awake.
I might know a little something about that.
As a kid, my role model was Peter Pan. The child who never grew up. Who lived in Neverland.
I was the kid accused of refusing to grow up.
While my younger sister was giving valedictorian speeches, I was the one who dropped out of school at sixteen.
We had a rabbi who used to shake his head at me and joke, playing at my maiden name and inability to shut my mouth.
"Lemmer!” he’d yell in my general direction,
“Lamir zein shtill!"
Let us be quiet.
But I wasn’t built for quiet.
I was made for music.
For breath.
For the living, singing prayer of life itself.
And somehow, here we are, those of us who never fully fit the mold, getting ready to gather in one place, breathing new worlds into being.
We’re the children who grew up but never got old.
We’re the professionals who choose again and again to stay students.
We embody what the Tanya calls Chochma, the "koach ma," the power in asking "What".
The holiness of sacred curiosity.
Rooted in Torah wisdom and values,
It’s not rare to catch a handful of us learning Daf Yomi together as the sun rises.
Or lighting yahrzeit candles at an odd hour because a soul needs remembering.
Singing Zusha songs like nobody’s watching.
Or laughing like children on the back of the Baal Shem Tov's wagon.
And yes, we are serious.
Serious about mastery.
About skill.
About deep integration.
About real excellence.
But even more serious about the holiest form of play:
Learning.
Breathing.
Becoming.
That’s why Azamra is alive in a way you can feel.
We’re a closed, intimate cohort that grows and graduates together.
We dive into underwater breathwork, CPR certification, and the science of frequency and sound.
We create soul-shifting playlists.
We learn to use tuning forks, intuitive facilitation, systemic constellations, and integrative art.
We celebrate each other's milestones like family.
The Chanukas Habayis. The Seudas Hoda’ah. The dreams come true.
We're the business coach who can’t wait to help you launch.
The therapist who’ll make sure you know you’ve got this.
The massage therapist who finds the knot between your ribs and help you ease it out.
The high school teacher who will slip you the parenting tip you didn’t know you needed.
....The artist who sneaks little masterpieces into your notebook margins.
We’re community.
We’re family.
And we’re saving a seat for you.
Because what you carry matters.
The world needs your aliveness.
And so do we.
Maybe Azamra is the Neverland you’ve been searching for.
Come breathe with us.
Come build with us.
Come play.
