Coffee Date - The Sequel
Jan 28, 2026
A few weeks ago I sent out an email called “Coffee Date?”
It’s what’s known as a hand raiser email. A way to invite engagement. To hear back from you. To learn who’s here and what’s going on in your world.
That matters a lot to me.
I started this work in a very small way. One on one sessions. Intimate rooms of students I knew by face and by name.
I’m an introvert who never imagined I’d be doing this work at this scale. And I thank Hashem every day for the life He envisioned for me when I couldn’t (read: wouldn’t) yet see it for myself.
At every stage I remember thinking, “Wow. I never dreamed I’d get here. And also, this is more than enough.”
And then G-d laughed.
My stage got bigger. My world more colorful. My work more expansive. My voice traveling further than I ever imagined.
(And yes, the introvert in me still gets shaky before every stage appearance and every time someone recognizes and stops me on the street.)
I say Modeh Ani with a deep sense of humility, because this isn’t the life I asked for. It’s the life I prayed for when I asked Hashem to make me a shaliach. To let my life matter.
Though if there’s anything I miss from when my world was smaller, it’s the intimacy. The personal interactions. The one on one sessions. The emails. The moments where I got to see, clearly, how the work was working and what was actually needed from me.
I send emails each week to a few thousand of you, and most of the time I have no idea if they’re read, who reads them, and how they actually land.
Hence the hand raiser. The coffee date. The simple question asking you what you’d want to talk about if we ever had the chance.
I read every single response that came in with that email. And I personally responded to over 100 of you. After that I got overwhelmed and went to bed, but please know that even if you didn’t receive a reply, I read your words carefully.
And I learned so much.
About who you are. Why you’re here. What you’re longing for. What feels exciting. What feels scary. And how I can better serve.
I’ll share more of what I learned in future emails. (And yes, I’ll do more hand raisers too!)
I even uploaded your responses into ChatGPT and asked it to synthesize them and tell me what I might be missing.
One of the things that came back was this:
There’s a gap between your brilliance and people who are curious but scared, overwhelmed, or financially stretched.
A softer on-ramp would be helpful for many of them.
Why, thank you ChatGPT for noting my brilliance lol.
And also, Oh. I had no idea that’s what you were waiting for. More accessible ways into my world.
The good news is that “softer on-ramps” are coming. The Vessel Journal is one of them. If you haven’t ordered yours yet, you can do that here.
And the even better news is that there are already many ways to enter this world.
One of them is through the beautiful work my students are doing.
My site currently features a listing of QuintEssence trained hypnotherapists and Azamra trained breathwork facilitators. I receive dozens of requests each week for recommendations I simply can’t keep up with. If you’re finding someone through that listing, you can trust two things. One, I recommend them. And two, they're all actively continuing their education and growth. These are not students who stopped when they received their diploma.
There are also other students of mine offering deeply thoughtful work. Like Vessel and Ignite alumni Eliyahu and Baila Treitel. They are life coaches and chosson/kallah teachers devoted to strengthening lives and marriages within our community.
They’ve recently begun recording weekly lessons based on The Living Marriage by Rabbi Moshe Shuchatowitz, translating those teachings into something accessible, relatable and engaging.
I highly recommend getting on their email list as well. You can join them here.
A student once joked that my very full world is like the Fally Show. I laughed because life really is a stage.
But also, it’s not my show.
It’s my playground. And I don’t play in it alone.
You’re always welcome here. We all do better when we do this together. Which is why I will consistently promote my students and colleagues. Because none of us are meant to do this on our own.
I have no idea where Hashem is taking me or this work next. But I trust that He didn’t bring us this far just to stop here. There’s more coming. And I’m all in for the ride.
In two weeks I leave to teach the next module of Azamra. Our second cohort is preparing to graduate as the most powerful and incredible leaders in this work.
When I return, we’ll be opening registration for the next cohort. I keep these groups intentionally small, so if you’ve been waiting for your moment to spend a year alongside dedicated future facilitators who are truly committed to changing the world, keep an eye on your inbox.
With gratitude,
In further moments of gratitude -
Today is Deeds' fourth birthday!
Deeds and his older brother are still waiting on school placements for this year. Homeschooling has been a lot of awesomeness, but we're ready and waiting for a school to welcome them in with open arms.
In honor of his birthday, if you'd be willing to say a little prayer for us - I just know we'll see miracles!
