Making Space

heartspace shabbos values vessel Oct 16, 2026

There's something wonderfully inconvenient about Friday.

Every Erev Shabbos, without fail, there's more to do. More emails to answer. More things to finish. More ideas that are suddenly very urgent, minutes before I need to shut my laptop.

And yet, I stop.

I make a point of closing up shop at chatzos, midday on Friday, because Shabbos is one of the great values around which I organize my life.

Values are interesting.

They're easy to admire. Much harder to arrange your calendar around.

But the things we make room for tell us something about the people we're becoming.

And that, in so many ways, is what Vessel is about.

Vessel is so much more than a course you take or a workbook you fill out.

It's a way of being in the world.

What kind of person do you want to become? What energy do you bring into a room? What frequency do you want to live at?

How do people feel in your presence?

What becomes possible for your children, your spouse, your community, simply because of the way you've learned to inhabit your own life?

And what would it look like to actually live those answers, on a perfectly ordinary rainy Friday when nobody's watching?

These are the questions I love.

And I don't want them to live only in a classroom, or in the pages of a workbook.

I want them to find their way into our kitchens, our conversations, our ordinary Tuesday afternoons. Into the thousand little moments when we get to decide who we're becoming.

Which is why I've been dreaming up new ways to bring Vessel into everyday life.

And one of those dreams just became very, very real.

LOOK WHAT I FINALLY GET TO HOLD IN MY HANDS!
My brand-new Vessel card deck!

This deck has been such a labor of love. So many stories, layers of meaning, and a thousand little decisions went into its creation.

One day I'll tell you the whole story. (It's a good one.)

But for now, I'm just enjoying the wonder of holding something tangible that began as an idea.

Because this, too, is Vessel.

Taking what matters to you and giving it a place in the physical world.

Turning an intention into a practice. A beautiful idea into a way of living.

The deck will be available for purchase toward the end of this month, and I cannot wait to share more.

We even got to pull one of the cards at yesterday's beautiful Vessel Welcome Call, surrounded by familiar faces, new faces, people from all over the world, and a few babies making their Vessel debut!

What a joy to begin this eighth cohort together.

And now, one last invitation.

Registration for Vessel closes TODAY at chatzos — 12 noon Eastern.

We begin tomorrow night, Motzei Shabbos.

I offer Vessel just once a year, so this is your last opportunity to join us in 2026.

To ask better questions, have richer conversations, and discover what it feels like to live more deliberately in the world.

Because the life you're living deserves your full participation.

And so do the people who share it with you.

Join us for Vessel before registration closes at noon.

With so much excitement,

----
